Hey, any old Sony console owners with advice to give on this? Maybe @ariadne can help with this. I have a SCPH-39001 with v1.20 firmware, still functional, unmodded, no network or hard drive adapter. And I have a game I'd love to play on it, except I can't find the disc anywhere in my rat's nest of a room, or the closet of the next room over that contains a bunch of stuff too, where I managed to dig out the PS2, controller, power cable, stand, and memory card.
I can't even find the Action Replay disc we used to have here, that I had used to compress a bunch of the saves on one of the memory cards, so now I've also got a bunch of useless saves all tagged “(Zipped)”.
Wondering where to go from here. I kind of want an OEM network adapter, and drop a SATA board into it, but that's more expensive than a third party SATA adapter, but none of those have network support.
Oh, look, it’s an old save file!
I can't believe this is #retro .... #sony #ps2 is old enough to vote already.
