I myself tend to be very annoyed by people I depend upon stopping at any time to take a break. Mainly because I myself find it annoying to have to take a break from any task whatsoever, lest I never be able to get started again. I will work for myself or others until I pass out dead. Maybe this is also why I am so burned out on working that I hardly feel like doing it ever any more. Yet somehow, I still haven't eliminated my expectations of the same from others.

Meanwhile, while waiting for the developer I am working with to fix my rootfs issues on one of my machines, instead of proceeding to take a break and play some games on my other machine, I am instead sitting here, staring at an IRC client, waiting for the developer to wake up again.

I have a current backup of that rootfs, so I could say screw the developer and reformat my machine to a more stable filesystem. I would also spend the entire night sitting there, staring at the rsync output, waiting for it to finish. But then I'd also worry that the developer thought I'd given up on getting the actual issue solved, which won't just go away because I wiped my computer and restored from a backup. I would just be absolving myself of all responsibility for it, and let some other poor sap discover it a few years down the line.
