Long winded Mastodon client rant
Does anyone know any #mastodon clients other than #tuba or #tokodon for #linux #desktop that can be similar to the #icecubes client for #ios/#iPadOS? These two desktop clients are sort of okay, except they tend to decrease my usage of the services terribly, frequently due to limitations.
Tuba works fine, and picks up all my notifications, but doesn't support more than a single account. Plus its spell checker seems to be going haywire here. It's highlighting the capitalized Tokodon, iPadOS, and in this paragraph, it's underlining the "doesn" of the above contraction. The "Check Spelling" feature also doesn't appear to indicate any idea of what it's offering in correction of the misspelled words, only a red underline to indicate an error.
Meanwhile, Tokodon doesn't have a spelling checker that I know of, but does break notifications in fantastic ways. Any time my boyfriend shows up in my notifications timeline, the timeline ends just above his post. If he's the most recent post, the timeline is empty. Great going, I can't track his posts at all with it, unless I happen to see them go by in the busy normal timeline.
At least both of these clients are better than some of the ones I've used that don't even observe your instance's posting limits and impose the upstream defaults regardless of what the server reports.
Long winded Mastodon client rant continued [but looking slightly better]
My bad, #tuba does support multiple accounts, but I had completely forgotten how to access the dialog to select or add accounts. Must click the menu sidebar popout button, then click the profile icon at the same exact position in the window once the sidebar is opened, from which you may +Add account, or [Trashcan] Delete an account. Or presumably click one of the accounts to swap between them. Okay, that's not so bad. Got it.
